(3) BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA BASKETBALL FEDERATION: Cadet, Junior, Senior
(8) YUGOSLAVIA BASKETBALL FEDERATION: Cadet, Junior, Senior

The primary role of a youth national team selector is not to simply gather the best current players, but to identify the most promising players who can fulfill the ambitions of the senior national team in the future.
The role of the national team coach for younger age groups is to educate, develop, and position these players for future success in senior-level basketball. If these priorities are missed, the coach’s efforts will be in vain, potentially leading to long-term struggles. This applies to any situation where working with young players prioritizes immediate competition results over player development. The true priority is to develop players, and then team success will follow.
